Terms of Sale
All books are properly described with defects noted. Feel free to contact us with any questions or requests for photos regarding books for sale on our website via phone (651-644-7605) or email at orders@midwaybook.com. Orders may be placed on our secure website, can be made over the phone or may be held for in store pickup.
Rarely, a book will have sold before it has been removed from the website. If this happens, we will contact you via email and let you know of any alternatives we have available before canceling your order in a timely fashion. We will also contact you via email if there is any issue or unnoted defect before we ship.
Methods of Payment
All prices are in US Dollars. Payment is accepted via major credit cards processed through Square (Visa, Discover, American Express, and Discover), PayPal, or check (on approval only; book may be held until check has cleared). Minnesota resident are charged 9.875% state sales tax.
Shipping
Domestic: All books are securely packed for shipment and typically shipped with USPS the same or next business day. Tracking is available on all orders.
We offer free Media Mail shipping for all books sold through our website. Media mail is a lower priority mail class and shipping speeds can vary but typically ~ 1 week within the continental US. Some heavy sets may be shipped via UPS ground. Upgrading to Priority Mail is available for an additional fee. The typical delivery time is a 2-3 days within the continental US.
Alaska and Hawaii: Media mail is via ship and is very slow (~1 month or longer). It is recommended to order priority if this is an issue.
International: Shipping costs for orders outside of the US will vary considerably based on the value, weight, and destination and we cannot offer a flat shipping rate for all books. If you would like a shipping quote prior to ordering, please email us your exact shipping address and if you have a carrier or shipping speed. Otherwise, we will send you a quote for shipping at our cost after ordering.
We can ship via GlobalPost (a freight forwarder that typically delivers using the destination country's postal service), UPS, and DHL, either based on customer preference or our experiences shipping successfully to your country.
All customs fees, import fees, VAT, etc are the sole responsibility of the customer.
Brazil: Your tax id number (CPF or similar) is required for all imports, please email us this when ordering. Note that it is extremely expensive for us to ship to Brazil; you may want to ask for a shipping quote before ordering.
EU Countries: Because of VAT regulations requiring an IOSS number on goods priced at €150 or less, we cannot ship directly to EU countries unless the value is over that threshold. You can still order through us if you order through one of the 3rd party websites we list our books on: Abebooks, Alibris, or Biblio. Alibris and Biblio also offer a consolidated shipping service which is slower and not trackable at some points but is typically cheaper than what we can offer.
Germany: Because of EPR and VAT regulations, we are no longer able to ship to Germany. We can ship to a US based re-shipper of your choosing. If you choose to do this, this import responsibilities are the sole responsibility of the customer and the re-shipper and we cannot be held responsible for any packages lost after arriving at their
Mexico: Your RFC (Registro Federal de Contribuyentes) number is required for all packages being shipped to Mexico. Without this number, customs will refuse your package.
United Kingdom: Because of VAT regulations on goods priced at £135 or less, we cannot ship directly to the UK unless the value is over that threshold. You can still order through us if you order through one of the 3rd party websites we list our books on: Abebooks, Alibris, or Biblio. Alibris and Biblio also offer a consolidated shipping service which is slower and not trackable at some points but is typically cheaper than what we can offer.
Returns
Please contact us with any issues regarding your order. Returns are accepted within 7 days of the receipt of your order for any reason. Proper packing is required, typically the original packing can be reused. We will advise you on shipping method.
