Hanneman's bibliography mentions two variants of the jacket with a blue and olive tone to the photo of Hemingway and the blue toned one being issued first. This jacket looks to be one of the blue toned issues. The newer bibliography by Grissom says that the jacket flaps in the first state jacket were brown and changed to black with the second state. This copy has brown text on the flaps, indicating a Grissom's 1st state jacket. No mention of Hemingway's Nobel Prize on the jacket which was apparently added in Grissom's third state. Reference: Grissom A24.1.a. Hanneman A24.A.
