The text is as in the second state (of the first) but with Reilly & Lee title page and no advertisements on page 343. Extensively illustrated in both color and black and white including color illustrated endpapers, color title page, frontispiece, and full page illustrations by John R. Neill. The illustration are printed directly on many of the textual illustrations; it was not issued with plates. Rear gutter partially cracked but holding. Nice copy overall. Names written in pencil on the "book belongs to page" Very Good. Item #90262
