Six volume set, unfortunately lacking volume 7. 29 x 18 cm. xxxvii, 228; xi, 322; xix, 278; xiii, 463; xiii, 326; xx, 287;One of 100 sets printed on hand-made paper (of a total edition with various limitations of 375), this being copy 95, signed by the publisher "Doubleday, Page & Company" in volume 1. Fitzgerald was best known for his translation of the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, which appears in various editions in various of these volumes and his own poetry. This set has been rebound into full green leather; a note on the front paste-down states that this was done August 1917. Spines are sun toned. Previous owner's bookplate on front paste-down of each volume. Some pages remain unopened.
