Pleasant looking eight volume set bound in 1/2 leather and patterned boards, housed in a lovely decorative box. 15.5 x 10 cm. 16mo. Box is decorated with mythological characters and beasts. AEG and gilt spine lettering. Decorative endpapers.The heads of the spines of the books are chipped. Darkening to tails of spines. Mild soiling to covers, text is clean. Hinges partially cracked in volume VIII but are still holding. No date noted, circa ~[1890]?
Box is complete but worn. The top of the box is detached but present and several of the connections are cracked. Very Good. Item #82274
