Bound into the rear is the "Supplement ot the Fifth Edition of a Manual of Elementary Geology", second edition, John Murray 1859. Additional figures in the supplement. The sections in the supplement are "British Pliocene Strata", "Where to Draw the Line between the Miocene and Eocene Tertiary Strata", "Denudation of the Wealden", "Upper trias of the Eastern Alps". Two bookplates on front endpapers. Front and rear gutter are severely cracked and would benefit from professional restoration. Binding is quite shaken.
