This is the second edition, which is quite similar to the first. An important and scarse early work on middle west exploration. Carver's account traces his travels further into the interior of America than any other pre-Revolutionary account. Includes some of the earliest pioneer descriptions of Minnesota and Wisconsin. Includes the first mention of the "Oregon".The author describes his encounters with local Native Americans. References: Evans B7338 (supplement). Howes C215. Sabin 11184. Streeter III, 1772.
