Item #73330 Voyage of the Vega - Maps Supplement. Adolf Erik Nordenskiöld.
Voyage of the Vega - Maps Supplement.

Voyage of the Vega - Maps Supplement.

London: MacMillan & Co., circa [1882]. Hardcover. 23 x 15 cm. Octavo. Bound into 19th century 1/2 brown leather and green pebbled boards. Consists only of 10 folding maps (on 11 sheets), bound together. 3 of the maps are in color These are reproductions of older maps that were published in the 1882 work "The Voyage of the Vega round Asia and Europe: With a Historical Review of Previous Journeys along the North Coast of the Old World", as well as some designed for that publication. No title page or other text. Marble end papers. Foxing to prelims, mostly avoiding the maps themselves. It is not clear to me which edition this belongs to as the editions I find online do not have a seperate map volume but instead have the maps bound into the two volumes of the main text. Rubbing to the spine. Very Good. Item #73330
