English Bards, and Scotch Reviewers.
London: James Cawthorn, [1809]. First edition. Hardcover. 17.5 x 11 cm. 16mo. vi.54pp, 696 lines. Includes the in-text edition points for first edition, first issue which include "Despatch" instead of "Dispatch" on page 5 line 7, fourth line of preface, third word reads "author", "wizard's" on line 47 page 5, "crouds" on line 159, page 14. However, it does not have the watermark. Randolph notes that a first edition with all points could have been printed on sheets printed on the unwatermarked half of the half sheets used for printing, which describes this copy. Includes the preface, which Wise calls an issue point but Randolph is unconvinced by. This copy rebound into 1/2 leather with new spine. Housed in custom clamshell and slipcase which has a marble spine and marble paper. Small leather book label of previous owner, Alex M. H. Udnut, on front fixed endpaper. Very Good. Item #71142
