An early but not first edition of this work with no date on title page. Pencil doodling to the tissue paper over plates 35 and 36. Some fading and rubbing to the boards. There is a modern auction advertisement affixed the the blank endpaper. Frontispiece plate with careful tape repair to rear; also tape repair to front free endpaper. Very Good. Item #70389
Tooley 197 describes the original done in 1830 which has the same plate collation as this edition and including the woodcuts present in the first issue on pages 7, 40, & 72.
