Knowlton composed these poems following the death of Rand Herron in 1933 in a fall from the second pyramid at Gizeh in Egypt. Rare work, printed in an edition of 90. Knowlton was mountaineer and one of the first females to climb above 20,000 ft in the Himalayas.
