Limited to 1500 sets signed by the illustrator, Lynd Ward, at the colophone in volume 4, this being set 1493. Top edges stained red. Soiling to the endpapers of vol 2. Light foredge foxing. Bottom corner of volume 4 bumped, with some fraying to the cloth. The slipcase is worn and has tape repair and reinforcement. Lacking monthly letter. Three of the volumes have acetate jackets.
