Fold-out hand colored map in volume one with a small tear. Wood engraved text illustrations. Full page plan of Chusan harbour on page 303 of volume 2. Bound in purple decorative cloth with embossed gold image of a ship on front covers. Spine and edges of the boards are quite sunned. Foxing to the first and last few pages. The rear hinge of volume 1 is cracked and tender. Scarce work. Good. Item #56174
