Three previous owner's bookplates inside front cover. Two of these are from Samuel C. Harvey who has written his name on the second and third front endpapers. Samuel Harvey was a research fellow and surgical resident under the direction of Harvey Cushing from 1913-1917 and in 1917 he was assigned by Army Base Hospital No. 5 Medical. Cushing was a pioneering neurosurgeon; some of his tools are still in use today. He also wrote a popular biography of Sir William Osler. Very Good. Item #49
